Integrating Medical Device & Information Technologies to Achieve Meaningful Use

On Thursday May 5th, 2011, ABM Health held its latest in a series of medical & information technology workshops in Bellevue, WA. This workshop addressed "Integrating Medical Device & Information Technologies to Achieve Meaningful Use".

ABM Health recognizes that today’s healthcare organizations are under increasing pressure from regulators and clinicians to integrate elements of their medical and information technologies in order to achieve the practical and financial benefits of meaningful use. While it is true that integration can positively transform many of our healthcare delivery processes, the hoped for benefits will only be achieved when information technology and clinical engineering services collaborate to develop a truly integrated support service. Failure to sufficiently collaborate can result in poor integration implementations that financially impair operations, create workflow nightmares and pose major risks to the care and safety of patients.

Our half day workshop was intended to provide Healthcare Executives and Clinical, Information Technology and Clinical Engineering leaders with an opportunity to hear from industry experts and discuss some of the most critical integration and collaboration issues.

Our Bellevue workshop was successful in bringing together a group of industry experts and regional providers to identify critical technology issues and promising solutions.
